Is there an easy way to create a hyperlink from a sheet number, such as C-400, that jumps directly to another sheet (for example, C-500), and then have C-500 include a link back to C-400?
For over 12 years, the Revu for iPad app has been supporting jobsite teams with tools for markup, measurement, and communication. As the industry has changed, so have expectations for how work gets done in the field – and the tools for doing it. That’s why Bluebeam is announcing the upcoming retirement of Revu for iPad…
Hi everyone, In light of the new ADA Title II regulations, many state and local governments — and the vendors who work with them — need their digital documents to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA by April 24, 2026 (or 2027 for smaller jurisdictions). This includes PDFs that end up on public websites or portals. I’m trying to…
Transitioning from Revu for iPad to Bluebeam Mobile Bluebeam is evolving how teams access drawings, perform markups, collaborate, and manage Studio Sessions & Projects. As part of this evolution, Revu for iPad was officially retired and removed from the App Store on December 31, 2025. It is no longer supported or available…
Hi everyone! February is all about appreciation, so this month we’re celebrating the Bluebeam features, tools, or workflows that just clicked for you. The feature you rely on daily, the workflow that finally made sense, or the tool you’d be lost without. This challenge is about sharing what you love using in Revu and…
We have new dates scheduled for our Bluebeam Certified Instructor (BCI) program. This comprehensive 4-day virtual course is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to teach and train others in using Revu effectively. This certification not only enhances your teaching skills but also provides access to…
We have been asked to upgrade a community hall that was built in 1935 It needs new scissor trusses to replace the old sagging rafters. How do I calculate the pitch?. The drawing is to scale at 1/4" - ft Thanks Murray
In our new lighting projects, we are tasked with adding barcodes to each lighting fixture in a diagram. When printed, these barcodes can be scanned to control the lighting fixtures. It would be ideal to have an option to generate quick, generic barcodes instead of taking pictures, saving them, and then adding them as JPG…
Hey folks, I’m a Product Designer at Bluebeam, and I’m currently working on improving the Revu onboarding experience for new (and new-ish) Revu users. I'm really hoping to get some feedback from the community about your experience learning how to use Revu. Specifically, I'd really like to dive into the following questions:…
Dear Bluebeam Team, I would like to submit a suggestion regarding Studio Sessions and comment replies. Currently, when participating in a Session, if I write a reply to an existing comment, that reply does not appear when the document is printed. The only way to see the reply is by clicking on the markup and viewing it in…
Please allow changes to pdf files in sessions on initial upload. My specific request is that for newly uploaded files we be able to rename them, add bookmarks, page labels, links, add/remove pages, fix custom markup columns. There could be a time limit, such as an hour; or up until a markup is added; then it is locked down…
For anyone with color vision deficiencies, there is a way to make markups stand out from the drawing. On the menu bar select View—>Dimmer—>20% (or your choice) This fades the PDF but NOT the markups. I searched this discussion board and there were no results for colorblindness, colorblind, or color vision, so I thought I…
When detaching a PDF tab in Bluebeam, the new window does not include the full toolbar or markup tools. This makes side-by-side review difficult, especially on dual monitors. It would be very helpful if detached tabs could behave as full windows, similar to Adobe Acrobat. This would significantly improve workflow…
As a longtime user of Bluebeam Revu and Bluebeam Revu for iPad, I was extremely disappointed to find that Revu for iPad was no longer being supported as of January 1, 2026. As a seasoned architect, this app became significantly integral to our work, especially when it comes to creating Punch Lists. Now that Revu for iPad…
Please add an option to open bookmark links in separate window. This will allow people reviewing drawings, reports, etc to open up a reference link without losing their place in the pdf they are working on.
Please provide the ability to limit synchronize views to selected views and not all of them. Currently the only option is to synchronize all views, making it impossible to have other pdf views open that are unaffected. It requires constantly triggering the syncro setting on/off, or opening an entirely new bluebeam instance…
Would be really nice to have 30 deg and 60 deg snap angles added to the 45 and 90 that are standard. Or at least an option to add these two in the snap menu.
I am interested in understanding how my team can utilize BBM in the field to perform construction punchlist with notes and pictures and how this data can turn into report. Ideally we would like to have a toolkit available. What is the timeline for this functionality?
I'm using the mobile app for iPhone and my project recently stopped updating all the changes I make on my laptop. I'm currently running back and forth taking pictures of different details and going back to the building to layout work for my guys. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I hope it's something really dumb…
How do I figure out what the uncompleted actions are?
What is the schedule for enabling Cloud to allow batch stamping and signing of pdfs along with digital signatures as is available in Revu on Windows? It would be most helpful to be able to access, stamp, and sign drawings on an ipad instead of carrying laptops.
About 4/5ths of the way through the 21.8 MSI installation, a Custom Action named Call_LaunchShellExplorer is trying to open a .bat in such a way that Windows is prompting the user to select which program to use to open it. For now, we have simply added a transform to prevent that CA from executing. Has anyone else seen…
I run a Mac in my construction office. It is great, but the only point of friction is Bluebeam Revu. I have run Parallels with Windows, in the past, to keep Revu on my computer but (although it shouldn't) it inevitable slows the machine a little. I am currently using a sub-standard PDF viewer with limited construction…
Did something change in Bluebeam on December 17th? Up through December 16th, the email subject line for all of my incoming Bluebeam invites were formatted with the project file numbers, name of municipality/project, and the submission type. Starting December 17th, the subject line for all of my Bluebeam invites say "You've…
I have noticed when saving a file as PDF from Word the are sometime several bookmarks listed as "1". Bookmarks are created using Word headers, but there are never any headers named "1". Does anyone know why this happens and how to prevent it?

I recently discovered a bluebeam file which included lines with line style to suit different type of steel sections. The way the line style worked is that if the the page was 1:10 scale and the line weight was 1.0, the line style would produce a side on profile of a given steel I beam to scale. I thought this simplified…
I erased one digit of the original pdf. Then added one character in text box over the erased area. Color is black. When I print, the character prints gray. And it looks gray in my "recents". (see "5" below) Anyone have a clue why?
Following on from a discussion that I was having with someone the other day, how many of you use a custom profile? And, more importantly from my point of view, how many of you use multiple profiles? I have many profiles - different trades, several for measuring groundworks (civil engineering) alone, etc.. I thought many…
I would like a .BTX file with all Electrical and AV Symbols in it. I would like to mark up plans for material Takes.
If I measure some items several times, and then an hour later find some more to measure, can I reuse the markups I used initially without adding to the Toolbox? I see there is a format painter but this just changes the markup appearance without changing the markup properties such as layer, description, etc. If I added…
I am open to purchasing a higher license, but first I want to see if this will work like I am hoping it will. My company adds user data in a spreadsheet (e.g. IP Addresses, SN, etc), and we would like that info to go directly into our as built drawings. The idea being that we would only have to update the information in…
We use several Custom Columns as part of our Markups List Summary that we export with every project that includes model numbers, model descriptions, spec sheet URLs, etc. Every time we open Revu, most or all of our Custom Columns are missing and we have to re-import an XML file to add our Custom Columns back. We have tried…
Hi All, When I Slip Sheet in Revisions from the Batch menu I already have to manually match my files due to filenames issues. The frustrating part for me is that I also have to manually add the Set Tags because of drawing format. Is there a way to have BB autofill the tags from the Current Matched pages to the Revised…
Am I missing something? I was previously using revu ipad in the field for viewing drawings and scaling plans. I have recently updated to a bluebeam subscription and downloaded the new app on the ipad, I have not been able to figure out how to scale on the ipad. I have been able to do this on the web app on my computer but…
