Hi everyone! We're bringing back a community favorite this month—Shortcuts! The last time we ran a shortcuts challenge was back in October 2024, and a lot has changed since then. New community members have joined, workflows have evolved, and Revu has continued to receive updates and improvements. Whether it's a keyboard…
Today's underrated feature is the Dimmer Tool. Location: View → Dimmer When reviewing drawings with lots of markups, the PDF itself can sometimes distract from what really needs attention. The Dimmer Tool fades the background drawing while keeping your markups clear and easy to focus on. Where I find it useful❓ 🔹Reviewing…
when entering text in bluebeam max markup list, why doesn't it auto save and create a suggested list as you type like it did with core?In Bluebeam Revu, the Max edition differs from Core by focusing on advanced structural workflows. If your text fields and Markups list aren't auto-completing or suggesting past terms, it is…
I'm talking about the user-defined key and value pairs (Document > Document Properties > Custom tab). The use of "key" and "value" suggests that one should be able to reference the defined value somewhere by calling the key. The only thing I can think of is in Labels and Formula Columns, but I cannot find a way to use them…
My company is currently trialing Bluebeam MAX and I have been testing the features of integrating Bluebeam Studio markups into our Revit models. However, after getting the model connected to the session I am not able to see the markups that are made in the session on the corresponding sheet in the model and only see the…
I would like to request a built-in math calculator feature in Bluebeam Revu. It would be highly beneficial to have a pop-up calculator overlay or a tool that allows users to quickly add up a column of numbers on a document (like deductions, hours, or costs) without having to open an external calculator application or build…
It would be nice to have the Headers and Footers that I add flatten to a layer. This would make it a little easier to insert updates and add documents. but it would also allow me to shut off my information so that I can see the original document.
When using the Split Vertical feature to compare pdfs side by side, one of the pdfs glitches and does not display correctly until I click on it. I am currently using version 21.10, but this glitch also occurred with the previous version. Additional staff at the company are experiencing the same error.

How will Bluebeam integrate AI in their software? Is this already part of it? if so where and how can we use it.
🔒 Security❗ One of the most overlooked features in Bluebeam Revu is Document Security. Workflow: Document → Security → Set Open Password or Permissions → Save the PDF. Why it's useful❓ 🔹 Protects sensitive drawings and documents. 🔹 Controls who can print, edit, copy, or annotate the PDF. 🔹 Perfect for sharing tender…
Hello, What are the key differences between the "Complete" and "Unassigned" versions available in Bluebeam software, including their respective advantages and disadvantages?
The last two years we have had issues with the Bluebeam to EPL integration during the first week of July. Is this always going to be the timing of a Bluebeam update/maintenance? It would be helpful for to know so we can plan ahead. It's been challenging because it is a holiday week and I've been pulled back from vacation…
Hello everyone, I'm trying to find a way to convert Bluebeam BTX files into PNG image files. Has anyone worked with BTX files before or know of a tool, utility, or workflow that can convert them to PNG format (batch conversion would be even better)? I've tried several file converters and extraction tools, but they either…
Is it possible to cut out an odd shape on one sheet and overlay it on to another and still be able to manipulate the original cut out shape? Such as rotating the shape and adjusting the size?
Is there a way to start a text box and add a selection for bullets or numbers. This would help out when typing notes and /or keeping things in chrono order
Once I complete an overlay how can i manually rotate the top layer?
Regarding drawings plotted to PDF from AutoCAD. It appears that although we can successfully find specified text in the PDF with Bluebeam, it cannot be replaced if the Width Factor in AutoCAD is anything other 1. Anyone else run into this? Anything we're missing or tricks to make it work? Thanks.
Hi everyone, In light of the new ADA Title II regulations, many state and local governments — and the vendors who work with them — need their digital documents to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA by April 24, 2026 (or 2027 for smaller jurisdictions). This includes PDFs that end up on public websites or portals. I’m trying to…
