Spaces Replace Custom Column Value

I have a custom column set up that acts as a multiplier to take off multiple floors of a building at once. If I place the markups first, then apply the space, it sets the multiplier value to "0". The default value for the column is set to "1".

Is there a way that I can keep the multiplier value the same?

In your Custom Column do you have a minimum value specified?

No it does not. I just tried setting the minimum to "1" and the maximum to "9999999". When I tried another test, it changed the Multiplier value from "5" to "1".
