📢 What’s New: Revu 21.4

Markup Selection Cycle
Tired of struggling with overlapping markups in Bluebeam Revu? Say hello to the Markup Selection Cycle!
Now, when markups overlap, simply hover near them, hold Shift, and voilà—you’ll see a list of all nearby markups. Use your cursor or tap the Spacebar to cycle through and select the one you need.
No more digging for markups —just quick, easy access to the markup you want!

Great new feature! No more need to bring a markup to the front to select it!

Also not working for me. Is it a setting you have to activate or turn on?

Hey all!
For anyone who may be experiencing issues with this feature after updating to 21.4, please try logging out/in and then restarting Revu.
Hope this helps, @Leslie Tillman and @CTaylor.

Does anyone know if there is a way to disable this feature or reassign the key allocation? It is a very handy feature however, when coping markups along a grid (ie holding ctrl + shift) the window causes clashes and is quite cumbersome flashing on and off the screen when I don't need the assistance. It would be ideal if I could reassign this feature to a different key so I can still utilize the functionality when desired rather than every time I press shift.

I love this feature, but I think it may have caused an issue when editing a textbox within a group. Usually, I would double-click on the textbox within the group and I could edit it. Now, since the update, when I double-click on the textbox, the only thing I can edit is the pop-out note of the group and not the textbox. Please fix…I cannot ungroup and regroup just to edit a textbox….

@agreenwood Would you be able to share a sample file with a markup where this happens?

@Matthew Kennedy There is an option to turn it off in the preferences

This is a great feature that I have been waiting years for, but tying this to the shift key was a terrible idea. Is there a way to change the key designation for this?

@Peter Noyes @khart Having same issue here as @agreenwood. I have many grouped markup tools containing two or more textboxes. Post update to version 21.4 am unable to just double click to edit within each of the textboxes. Holding shift key and hovering over individual markups does not show a full preview of each of the textboxes in the group. But as you will (hopefully) see in the attached example, holding the shift key while over the grouped tool will temporarily allow editing of the individual text boxes within the group.

Thank you for making this an optional feature. It is badly implemented, as it keeps popping up for every single markup that does not cover anything else.

Awesome little trick. I am having a markups list issue as well (linked below).I a no longer able to edit within the markups list menu unless I save bluebeam, close and reopen it. The issue comes back shortly after. I've submitted a ticket so I will update my thread post-solution.

The idea is great, however it came with some issues. For those that want to turn it off, go to Revu⇒Preferences and unclick Enable Selection Cycle. It would be nice to have this as an optional hot key or icon to quickly turn it on and off. When you have a lot of markups in one place, it just causes a lot of issues. Not to mention we don't name every markup, so if you have a bunch of lines or whatever, you don't know which markup is which.

Good to have the option to not use it. Thanks Kristin
