BB crashed and I had added/edited dozens of tools and when I logged back in many of the toolsets were not showing in my profile or in the toolset list (so not hidden). Any ideas?
And when I tried importing it said they already existed….
Have you shared your logs with Bluebeam support yet?
No, tried opening support and it wouldn't load.
Shot in the dark, but I noticed sometimes when I restart revu, it kicks me off my profile and resets me to default. Acts the way you describe. Try making sure the correct profile is set.
Thanks, I did. Restarted, logged out & in. All the usual "fixes" ;P
Between the profile and the support function not working, this might be a re-install situation. You can try going to the folder "C:\Users\[your name]\AppData\Roaming\Bluebeam Software\Revu\21". This is where all the toolsets are stored locally. You can manually delete them here, as well as the old profile and reload it, but I have a feeling you might run into this again. I am sure the suggestions from support will include wither reinstall, rebuild profile from scratch or both.
Yeah, was going to try a re-install. Fingers crossed. Keeps telling me they are already installed when I try to import, but they aren't showing up. Thanks.
I have run into this issue before. I can't explain why this happens on the backend, but it's because Bluebeam crashed and you did not close the program normally since adding the new toolsets. I believe there is some process that runs when you close Bluebeam that overwrites a configuration file with the latest list of Bluebeam toolsets to load. Since it crashed, it did not have the chance to overwrite the file with the new list, so it reverted to the last one before the crash. And the reason it said they already exist when you tried importing, is because they do physically already exist in your native bluebeam tool set folder - you added them there last time before the crash, but Bluebeam "forgot" since it could't rewrite the configuration file. That's my general understanding - may not be exactly technically correct. The way to avoid this problem is every time you add a new toolchest/toolset, make sure to close bluebeam normally because otherwise the next crash will cause the issue.
I found this support article, but I don't see the options shown in the screenshot to send to Cloud. At the bottom of the tool set menu I only see Manage Tool Sets, there's no Send Tool Sets to Bluebeam Cloud.
Hi I'm new here, joined to ask this questions. I started having an issue this week, where when I select the typewriter tool or text box nothing happens, pretty much rendering useless a big part of bluebeam for me. driving me nuts. Tried the basics, or re-opening, different files, restarting, different profiles, etc.…
I'm trying to figure out how "sets" works in Bluebeam to mark out the old documents and showing me the new changes in the addendums. when I create a set in Bluebeam and run it, they seem to be the same, but I can clearly see changes in design or whatever they are changing in the new addendums.
As an Org Admin user I have the ability to add users and delete users and assign the product, but is there a way to edit an existing user Contact Details? When I attempt to update a user's Contact Details everything is greyed out and will not let me make any changes.
I have added our org SharePoint to Bluebeam Cloud (website) and I can see folders as I would expect. When I add my org OneDrive account to Bluebeam Cloud I see OneDrive and PersonalCacheLibrary folders show, if I click on OneDrive, it says "Something went wrong. Please try again." Never works, and I opened a ticket and…
Reposting this from Peer Support to USBUG: Since upgrading to 21.6.1, it seems I have to rearrange order of the tabs on each BB OPEN. I commonly start with about half a dozen tabs open for a couple of most active projects. I like to have them in order of Project 1 Specs, Project 1 CA Set, Project 1 Revisions, Project 2…
Hi, since a few weeks now, i got the issue where i can't copy/ paste markups. Error logs shows: Exception - - Der angeforderte Clipboard-Vorgang war nicht erfolgreich. System.Runtime.InteropServices.ExternalException (0x800401D0): Der angeforderte Clipboard-Vorgang war nicht erfolgreich. bei…
I let my subscription lapse, uninstalled REVU, got a new opportunity and resubscribed. Installed new REVU package but when it starts it seems to be looking at the old, lapsed subscription. I can see the new subscription in Webstore but haven't found a way to get REVU to drop the old serial number and pickup the new one.…
Hi, I’ve just signed up for a 14-day trial. I received the confirmation email saying “Your trial has started” and Bluebeam Cloud works fine. However, in Revu 21 desktop it still shows Package: Unassigned and only opens in Viewer mode. Here’s what I’ve tried so far: Signed in with my BBID (the same email that received the…
Hi everyone, I’m hoping to get some clarity on managing permissions in Bluebeam Studio Sessions. Specifically, I’ve noticed that while attendees get default permissions like Save As, Markup, and Add Documents, Print isn’t included by default and has to be manually enabled for each user in every session. With the number of…
