I have a sheet index that was batch hyperlinked and showing the color outline for it and placed in a bluebeam project with each sheet as an individual file. Is there a way to get the hyperlink color to change when a markup is added to the individual sheet? I want a way to let my large teams know that a sheet has markups…
Have you ever opened a file and tried to do some annotations and takeoff and it was locked with no permissions for the viewer? Are you unable to even print it to a .pdf or affect any change to it? Boooooo! Me Too. Looking for a workaround? I Found One! Aaaannnd, You're welcome. — If you have a other workaround, please…

Hi everyone! Welcome to the October 2024 Monthly Challenge! Last month, we explored how you add your "Seal of Approval" to documents, whether through signatures, stamps, watermarks, or other methods. We saw some great responses and a variety of methods across the community. This month, we’re shifting gears to focus on…
This week, we’re highlighting Layers in Bluebeam Revu. Layers let you organize content, making it easy to show or hide different elements like markups or design details. How have you used layers to keep your documents organized?
Feedback regarding Mac support.
Bluebeam Revu v.20 had zoom capability when using Windows Explorer and Outlook preview pane. While the preview pane is useful on it's own, the zoom feature was critical in allowing me to scan dozens to hundreds of drawings (~24"x39") quickly to find information without having to open every single file. This has saved me…
We use bluebeam sets and have them automatically broken down by categories. We'd like to be able to search only sheets within a specific category instead of searching through the whole set which is currently the only option.
It would be very helpful if Bluebeam would allow a default setting, or remember the last setting used, when using the measurement tool. As of now, when I calibrate, I have to also select the precision to 1/16" instead of the default 1/4".
It would be helpful if when you joined a session for the first time, you were required to set your name. Some of our sessions are internal so it would be helpful for us to put our discipline, where as larger sessions on Joint Ventures our firm name is more important.
We typically have quite large review sessions that can reach thousands of markups from dozens of users. Many of our users, as well as our suppliers on the receiving end, ask for better ways to organize markups. Most commonly to group a set of markups to discuss at coming meetings or to assign to different users for further…
Did older versions of Bluebeam (18, 19 etc) automatically match the dimension units to whatever scale you calibrated to? I feel like it did' but can't confirm since I've been updated. For example, if I am working in a metric PDF, and I calibrate based on an existing dimension of 6100mm within a drawing, the new dimensions…
Hi Everyone, I am a new Bluebeam Revu 21 administrator, and I was wondering if there is a way to bulk transfer ownership of all of the Bluebeam Session ID's from a session host that has left my organization. Thanks, Sammie
This is probably answered somewhere, but search does not appear to be working I am and Admin in a studio session, but I cannot change the status of any markups even my own. The Set Status sub-menu in the right click is blank. Any idea on why or how to fix? Not been an issue till recently.
I am tired of having to change each of my measurements from ft'in" to in" every time. I know I can select all at once and change them all to in" but was hoping I could default all measurements to in". TIA!
Since the removal of Projects from BlueBeam Cloud, we've had a hard time managing RFIs and Submittals for our new and ongoing projects. In about 2 weeks we will be kicking off a 11 month project that will require meticulous tracking, and documentation for RFIs and Submittals. Is there a current workaround for these two…
Any suggestions on how to create folders for every individual unit in 150-350 unit multifamily projects that can be organized by units per floor, includes items such as number of bedrooms, sinks, fireplaces, coat hooks, basically so when exporting in CSV that it will have all the items organized within that folder to make…
I work with drawing sets that have multiple plan and profile sheets for utility projects. Typically the profile has a different vertical scale which I can set using the calibration tool within a viewport. Because I sometimes have hundreds of profile sheets I'd like to copy the profile viewport and its scales accross…
I'm looking to automate a custom column (or columns) by grouping 2-4 dimensions, and then having the total show up in the 'width' column (figured this part out) but having the individual dimensions separately show up in another column. ie, the example here is 4 dimensions, they are grouped together with a total width of…
Has anyone come across a good workflow to help maintain the graphic quality of a PDF export from Revit, while minimizing the file size (aka reload time within Bluebeam)? We are seeing challenges with sheets that need to show hatch patterns (ex. life safety hatches), color, and on a 30x42 sheet size. I have tried to: reduce…
Does Bluebeam have a feature similar to Adobe Acrobat Pro that allows for comparing and summarizing the content of Tender Documents instead of just drawings? I know that Adobe Acrobat Pro can easily highlight the differences between two versions of a document and provide a summary of the changes, but I'm wondering if…
When you create a hyperlink to a space and look at it's property, you can see space and destination page and area. Anyway to export all existing spaces w/name, page and area?
Primarily, I use Autodesk Inventor from modeling to the Drawing. When I decide to print a drawing, I use the Bluebeam driver … From there, I go to Properties … and then on to Advanced … Here is where it becomes interesting … Within my Drawing Set, I have only 2 sizes of sheets, Tabloid ( 17"x11" ) and Letter (8.5"x11"). As…
Hi Is there a current issue with logons to the admin portal? Have raised a ticket
I had the OCR plug in or whatever it is called. Tried to use it and received Revu’s Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software must be installed to scan documents for text. I downloaded the installed the MSI package for my 64 bit version of Revu. I clicked on the OCR MSI FIle yet I am clueless as the OCR error message…
Is there a way to automate some of the repetitive process in Bluebeam? Is there a way to integrate Bluebeam with automation software like Power Automate, Zapier, or Make? We would like to automate some of our processes in blue beam such as exporting markups csv, creating folders and adding files in studio projects, setting…
Hi, I'm newbie here, I want to join programing groups, like Autodesk forums to code using VB or other programming language, please let me know if that is possible in Bluebeam. Thanks
