How to complete command hotkey while "reuse markup tool" active

So! While creating markups, and turning on "Reuse Markup Tool" how do I finish the text input without starting the new command?

Here's what I'm trying to do
<press Q for callout w/leader>
<click for arrow location>
<click for text box location>
<enter text>
<**hotkey to complete text input**>
<click for new arrow>

Right now, after entering text, the only way I've found to complete the text entry is to click somewhere in the document - at which point a new arrow will be started….
In AutoCAD ctrl-enter finishes entering text in a multi-line text element, but no combination of alt- ctrl- shift- <enter> does anything when entering text in BB…

Is there anything I'm missing here?
