Feel like I'm losing my mind. but I save my custom column to profile but every time I bring in a new PDF it removes it. What can be causing this. I have saved my profile and custom multiple times a day
That's a bit odd, but try one thing.
Try saving your Profile after you've saved your custom column layout.
If the file you're opening has had custom columns created in it, that will take priority over your customizations. You'll need to reload the XML of your custom columns export into that PDF.
@Doug McLean if the document @Chuckie Weaver is bringing in already has custom columns doe he need to export his custom column setup from a previous document and then import them into the new document? Seems as if this has come up before?
could be. I always save an XML file of my Custom Column just in case I need to import them into a file.
Hey Guys, thanks for the feedback. I believe the piping isometric drawings for some reason or other this time has custom columns. but I'm about to try it on a different drawing to see what happens
Yea i do the same.
I believe that is what's happening. but I'm about to try a different drawing.
I've run into this before @Chuckie Weaver. I don't know if I should be pleased to see someone else is using custom columns or frustrated because it messes up my workflow… 😎
well, if it pleases you lol. I have beaten my head up against the wall. lol but I actually redefined it to formulas as well. and Bluebeam would remove itself off the screen every time I would save it.
Maybe I should have said "impressed". 😎
Always fun to find someone else who uses Revu beyond the basics. 🤓
Just wish it would let me pull measurements on piping isometric drawings. that is the only sticking point at the moment and try to remove the BOM so i can have my team move quicker. Also, do you know if i can put it on my ipad as well. i heard the app sucks

With the new Bluebeam Cloud app, many of my foreman have switched from the old Revu app to this, and have requested a sorting feature. Right now it's only showing their jobs in numberic/alphabetic order. When we label our jobs, they get the job number first. So the most recent jobs are at the very bottom of the list. If…
It would be really helpful to be able to add layers AFTER a bluebeam session has been initiated. We use the layers to assign markups to particular users, which then allows them to filter their tasks.
I should be able to post a link here and have it take you to a Bluebeam session and a specific file within it. http:// (session URL) / file I should be able to link to a markup even as well. Why isn't this in Bluebeam yet? It's so frustrating that we (in multiple workplaces I've been at) have to say "hey folks we posted…
You can create Layer Configurations to control the layers within a PDF but that must be done manually for each PDF currently. I would like a way to import and export these configurations. I have thousands of layers, so doing this manually is not feasible. Ideally, I would like a human readable / editable format (such as…
I’ve noticed that in Revu 21, every page in the Thumbnails panel now shows “Scale: Not Set” if the PDF doesn’t have a defined drawing scale. In my case, I review and organize a lot of documents like submittals, wiring diagrams, proposals, and building maps, none of which use or need scales. The problem is that the “Scale:…
Hi, I have a question regarding the "recover unsaved changes" window. In this window, there is a "recover" button but whatever I do, it always stay "unclickable". What is this button for? I have always been confused by this window because I thought I would have to select the files and click on "recover" but in fact, we…
