Ok, So after a full weekend of messing around with Bluebeam Cloud and trying to integrate it into my teams everyday use, I have decided it doesn't work for us in its current form. I have no need for Bluebeam Sessions or Bluebeam Studio. Or if I do, Bluebeam isn't making it apparent. I love Bluebeam on my PC and I have been an advocate for the software for years… but the iOS app is 100 steps backward.
What I need for my team which includes myself - project engineer, the project manager, and my resident project representative (RPR) to all have the same documents and and being able to edit or otherwise markup those documents in the field without having to check out the documents or join a session or download the document and reupload the document… This includes construction drawings, project specifications, a daily report, a field report of some sort whether it be a water pressure test, sewer air test, line locate test, etc. or just a report of something important in the field, daily installed quantities, and a meeting minutes template. That's it. I try to keep it simple for my RPRs so I don't need or want the hassle of showing them how to check out documents, make sure they get checked back in, or download the document and make sure to save it somewhere they can find it, blah blah blah… I need the Bluebeam Field to be a visible and real time file sharing feature where everyone on the list has the most current and update documents for the project. Ideally I want Bluebeam Field to allow for a markup and then upload that document with the markups AS A NEW FILE within the folder structure, e.g., Meeting Minutes 08-19-2025, Meeting Minutes 08-20-2025, Asbuilt Documents 08-20-2025, Daily installed quantities 08-20-2025, etc.
This should not be that hard of a system to pull off. I have since downloaded Good Notes on my new iPad because its at least functional.
