I would love BB studio to reconnect automatically. I am sick of the pop ups and barriers to keep working when I have to tell it to reconnect to the BB studio. Anyone have a solution?
Do you know why it's disconnecting?
Are you connected by wi-fi or a hardline?
BB loses connection every time I log off, un-dock etc. I wouldn't care as much but just about every action that happens in BB with a progress bar prevents you from doing anything else in the program. I don't need to see the status, I'm trying to work on other things while BB connects.
I would both like Bluebeam to more aggressively attempt automatic reconnects and to also make it much more obvious in the UI when disconnected and working offline. I found some good examples of indicators at https://ux.stackexchange.com/a/89705/162139
The reason for this is confusion I've observed with some mechanics and electricians on my team. We use Bluebeam so that we can all have the latest schematic redline markups. I've noticed they normally have the Bookmarks pane visible and not the Studio pane. Since there is literally nothing in the UI telling them they're working offline, they can be working offline for days before noticing a schematic discrepancy compared with someone else's computer, and only then do they notice they've been working offline.
The existing popup seems reasonable, but in my experience at least 80% of users ignore every popup from every application and click whichever button they happen to mouse over first.
Yes, that is also an issue I have seen. Bluebeam used to be cutting edge, it has fallen off with minimal improvements over the last 5 years. We also want a less secure version of studio sessions where multiple users can edit each others markups. Asked for that 7-8 years ago…crickets.
It occurs to me that if Bluebeam can't/won't implement auto-reconnect functionality, then at the very least give us an option to prohibit working offline. It's caused enough problems that I'd rather users couldn't see the PDFs at all during an actual extended internet outage. That seems like it'd be less of a problem than the silently-going-offline issue.
Anyone else having this problem? I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Had IT clean up my files yesterday, but the problem has returned today.
I have a set of plans w mutiple pages. the person who created the plans did not have it set up to link the details to the sheet the detail is on. the details symbols look like that which i attached. I have tried to follow the BB instructions, watch videos, read google questions all to no avail. Some info out there…
I may be missing something but with this new update. for some reason or other I cannot keep my custom columns for every PDF. I have to continually input them in.
This morning, I created a set and I have my set setting in the photo, but my markups are not transferring to the revised sheets. How do I get the set to reprocess?
Is anyone else having the same experience as me? I'm trying to use the new Bluebeam Mobile App on my iPad in the field. If I check out a document, go to the document and make a markup. When I go back to the document list the file will say "This document is locked by another user." -I am the one who checked it out not 5…
I have Revu X64 Standard. The program just started closing if I use the shortcut key or the toolbar for either Highlite or Pen. Any files that are open are closed. Anyone seen this or have an idea why?
I would like to create a custom column that will give me either one of two choices. 4x8 or 4x10 based on logic. Is this possible?
I am trying to develop a system of creating a product data submittal. What is the most efficient way to select various pages of hardware, and bring them into one file?
Hi all, Looking for a bit of help here with Spaces. I am copying spaces between services plans (Power plan to Lighting plan etc.) so identical building layout, but the space is often rotated by 90° regardless of page rotation. I have read the community posts on Rotating pages, but even if I copy the spaces (even grouped,…
Does anyone have any experience with using a digital writing pad on Bluebeam for marking up plans or doing quantity take-off's?
