This week, we’re highlighting Layers in Bluebeam Revu. Layers let you organize content, making it easy to show or hide different elements like markups or design details.
How have you used layers to keep your documents organized?
Layers are great so it's a shame that when you try to use a parent and child setup you can't then use a template as these settings are lost.
Solution at the moment is to just save a ordinary master pdf but if this issue can be fixed then using a template would be much better.
@vfrench - This suggestion may be slightly different than what you're suggesting above, but I think it's in line with what you're saying. If not, please correct me! Either way, please submit this feedback to us!
Also - Layers is a topic that's being discussed next week! RSVP here if you're interested in discussing Layers with your peers!

Hi @Angela Aff .
I have the layers in the template exactly how I want them - parent and child layers all look fine. I've then even created and named a new configuration.
However, as soon as I open a new drawing from the template, all of the setting are lost and I'm just left with one long list of layers - no parent or child settings.
A mirror tool would be really helpful when sketching ideas.
I have added our org SharePoint to Bluebeam Cloud (website) and I can see folders as I would expect. When I add my org OneDrive account to Bluebeam Cloud I see OneDrive and PersonalCacheLibrary folders show, if I click on OneDrive, it says "Something went wrong. Please try again." Never works, and I opened a ticket and…
Hi Bluebeam. Isn't it possible for you to make a continuous measurement like the one shown? regards Claus
I found this support article, but I don't see the options shown in the screenshot to send to Cloud. At the bottom of the tool set menu I only see Manage Tool Sets, there's no Send Tool Sets to Bluebeam Cloud.
Reposting this from Peer Support to USBUG: Since upgrading to 21.6.1, it seems I have to rearrange order of the tabs on each BB OPEN. I commonly start with about half a dozen tabs open for a couple of most active projects. I like to have them in order of Project 1 Specs, Project 1 CA Set, Project 1 Revisions, Project 2…
Long post for context: Yesterday I was trying to compare a revised architectural to realize that the floor plan has shifted in both the X and Y, so this morning I did a page snapshot. What I would like to know is, is there a way to snap to a point on the snapshot and move it to a point on the drawing?
Introduce a return function in Bluebeam! For example; Let's say there are annotations on the floor plan that have hyperlinks that take you to that annotated elevation and from there you click another annotation marker on the elevations that takes you to that detail and if you want to go back, you either have to remember…
Hi, I want to ask here if Bluebeam product support creating symbolic link for the studio session files being stored at C disk. The need arises because session files are taking up a large space on C disk. I am looking for options to shift this data to other drives and make up space.
Can users with the Basics plan not add or manage their hatch patterns? I was hoping to add more options, but my manage option is greyed out. Can't seem to find a answer to this, so was wondering if this is a recent tool removed from Basics. Thanks!
