Why do my links to places work on PC but not on Ipad?

Question

When I create a place in a studio folder.  It opens to the correct place and view on a pc.  But when trying to use the link on an IPad it takes you to the first page of the document the link is in, instead of the view?  You still have to do some manual searching?  Is this possibly a setting?  I have tried both with relative path, and without.

I approach it a bit different.  We are in the I&E business.  So always looking at conduit schedules and Cable Schedules associated with Conduit Layout drawings.  I take my conduit schedules and create places for each Conduit tag number in the Conduit schedule.  I center the view on that tag number.  I then name the place with that conduit Tag number and save that "Current View".  Then as I am going through the conduit layout drawings I have templates made with links embedded within them in my toolbox.  I drop that tool onto my conduit tag within the conduit layout drawing>Right Click the tool>Edit Action and change the place in the dropdown to my desired place.

So on your PC you probably have it to remember the last view. When you are hyperlinking make sure to set the command to the page you want it to be linked to in the file. ie if your file has 200 pages and you want it to hyperlink back to page 55 of that 200 page document you must set it that way see attached screenshot. Also if you want it to go to to a certain place on the page use the snapshoot view and select the area you want to hyperlink back to. Hope this helps you.
