I use a lot of hyperlinks. I can do some batch hyperlinks, some work, some dont. I generally lean towards creating my own. I dont like the way the batch hyperlinks look, OCD I know. But, people besides me see these drawings, I want them to look as professional as possible. This is how I currently run down a conduit schedule.
I have hot keys set up lik this F3="Select Text" , F4="Add Place". I run down the list selecting the conduit number, and creating a place with the current view. Every single one, on every page of the conduit schedule! On the Conduit layout pages drop hyperlinks on the conduit call outs that point towards the proper conduit in the schedule. I created a tool for the hyperlinks in my tool box for easy placing. I just amend the link once I drop it. I have my drawings busted up into the seperate file types, but keep them in the same Studio Folder, so the links dont break. Seems to work pretty well for the men and thier tablets in the field. Thats the end goal, to make it more efficient for the people in the field.
Big question? Is there a better way? Or, am I doing it the best way possible? If so, maybe someone else can learn from this. I certainly dont mind sharing my hows and how nots. See the attached pages from the drawings..I had to delete some info for security reasons. Sorry.
