There should be a way to add layers in a pdf on blue beam studio
to have to set them all up sheet by sheet then upload them is very time consuming each time a new sheet is added or if someone else adds sheet
Hi fellow Bluebeam User, To be clear, there are two parts to Studio - Projects and Sessions. I believe that you are referring to Sessions. Part of the rules for Studio Session is that the PDF cant be edited once its in the Session, having more flexibility is a good feature request, but what can you do today? Have you used the Batch functions that are in the Complete version? There is a Batch Script that will allow you to add Layers to as many drawings as you need in preparation to load up into a Studio Session. The way you do this is to create a Script that imports a "Master PDF" that contains ALL the Layers that you require, into the PDFs that you want to load up into Studio Session, then delete the Master PDF, leaving your Layers behind. Here is the Script: InsertPages(0,"{add in your Master PDF location here}\Master_PDF.pdf", false, false, false, true, false) PageDelete(1) The one true value is (please check) the option (boolean) to import the Master PDFs Layers into your PDFs that are to be uploaded into Studio Sessions. Let me know how you go.
I add the layers prior, i appreciate the input I wanted to see if there was ever a way to add layers once in a studio session
Shanoc, the extreme lockdown of options in bluebeam sessions is a feature great for collaborating with outsiders to your organization, but users have wanted for years to be able to reduce those restrictions and collaborate internally on one PDF, with the ability to edit others markups and you know, use the program for all its features.
hello, thank you for your response It shows my subscription is CORE for Revu 21 Version 21.6 x64 Core This means im not able to do the script, I have been creating the layers each time i have to upload to studio I am not sure how to make a template for just the layers and import them easier then re created them each time
What is up with the invisible text while editing a markup? This has been a recurring and persistent phenomenon that has remained through several updates of the BB subscription, over perhaps the last year. I create a markup with text, I double-click to edit said text and it becomes INVISIBLE (but is still there). I click…
Hi All, I accidentally added a layer at the end of the long list of existing layers. Has anyone found a way to reorder the layer list? I would also like to hide one of the layers I created by default and open it only when I need it. Is this possible? Thank you ahead, Ian
Here is my issue folks - clicking on a web link in a document does not open in the default browser, but in one of my other installed browsers. This behavior is experienced only with Bluebeam and one Trimble software, the rest of my installed applications obey my default browser setting. Has anyone encountered such issue…
I have recently upgraded to Revu 21 but the markup tools are greyed out so i am unable to use them. Does anyone have any ideas why this would be?
I used to know I two-key keyboard shortcut to re-size a cloud mark-up to more closely fit the text block it surrounds. I have forgotten it and can't find any information on it online. Can anyone help? Thanks
I'm trying to create a form that requires both signatures and initials. However, I can't seem to find a way to format the field for just initials. Is there a better way to do this other than using a text box?
Our department has recently begun implementing BlueBeam; however, we've encountered some challenges with registering our team members. I’ve been using the administrator account to send out registration emails, but I am currently unable to proceed. Each attempt results in the following error message: "There was a problem…
I'd like to see a tool where you can magnify part of document/drawing/detail/etc via callout or simple shape on a drawing. See video below for SolidWorks and Apple Photos examples. Option 1 How to add Magnifying Glass or Details view in SolidWorks Drawings Option 2 iPhone 14/14 Pro Max: How to Zoom In or Magnify Part Of A…
I think it would be useful to have a tool to mark several/all pages in a PDF with a watermark. In my specific case, I'm trying to note that a specification in a project manual still needs updates, but to do so in a manner that looks polished and professional. If a tool like this already exists, it would be useful if it…
