Have a custom Tool Set that's helped improve your workflow? Share it with the Bluebeam Community!
The Revu Custom Libraries allows community members to submit custom Tool Sets for review. If approved, your Tool Set will be published as a Bluebeam Verified resource, making it available for other users to discover and download.
Follow the steps below to submit a Tool Set as an example.
Before You Begin
Before submitting, make sure your Tool Set:
- Is complete and functions as intended
- Uses clear names and organization
- Does not contain confidential or proprietary information
- Is your original work or you have permission to share it publicly
Step 1: Navigate to the Submission Page
From the Community Libraries area of the Community, select Tool Submissions.
This will take you the submission category and form link.
Step 2: Enter a Title
Provide a clear, descriptive title for your Tool Set.
Good examples include:
- Electrical Symbols – Commercial Projects
- Residential Plumbing Tool Set
- Site Inspection Markups
Choose a title that helps other users understand what the Tool Set is for.
Step 3: Describe Your Tool Set
Provide a brief description explaining:
- What the Tool Set contains
- What it's designed to accomplish
- Who might benefit from using it
The more context you provide, the easier it is for reviewers and future users to understand your submission.
Step 4: Describe the Use Case
Explain how your Tool Set is intended to be used.
Consider including:
- Typical workflow
- Project type
- Industry
- Best use scenarios
This information helps reviewers evaluate your submission and helps other community members determine whether it's right for their needs.
Step 5: Include Any Requirements
If your Tool Set requires additional setup or configuration, include those details.
Examples:
- Recommended Revu version
- Required fonts
- Profile recommendations
- Installation instructions
Step 6: Upload Your Tool Set
Attach your Tool Set file to the community post submission.
Before uploading, verify that:
- The file opens correctly
- All tools are included
- The latest version is attached
Step 7: Review Your Submission
Take a moment to review everything before submitting.
Confirm that:
- Your information is accurate
- The Tool Set works as expected
- No confidential information is included
- Your description clearly explains the value of the Tool Set
Step 8: Submit
Select Post within your submission to submit your Tool Set to the Tools Category and Community Team.
You'll receive a comment/notice that your submission has been received and entered into the review process.
What Happens Next?Every submission is reviewed before being published. Time for approval can take a couple weeks.
The review includes checks for:
- Functionality
- Organization
- Quality
- Community usefulness
- Compatibility
- Compliance with Bluebeam publishing standards
Depending on the outcome, your submission may be:
- Approved
- Approved with minor edits
- Returned with requested revisions
- Declined if it does not meet the program guidelines
If Your Submission Is ApprovedApproved Tool Sets become part of the Community Libraries and are identified as Bluebeam Verified resources.
You may also receive:
- Contributor credit on the library listing
- A Community contributor badge
- Recognition through Community spotlights or announcements
