Custom Tools Submitter Guide

Community contributions help Bluebeam users discover new workflows, save time, and learn from one another. Before submitting your tools, please review the guidelines below to help ensure a smooth review process.

What Can I Submit?

At launch, the Custom Libraries program accepts:

Additional asset types may be supported in the future.

Submission Requirements

Please include the following with your submission:

A clear and descriptive title
A brief description of what your tool does
The intended use case or workflow
Any setup requirements or special instructions
Your tool file
A screenshot or preview image (recommended)

Providing complete information helps us review your submission more efficiently.

What Makes a Great Submission?

The best submissions are:

Easy to understand and use
Well organized with clear naming conventions
Designed to solve a real-world workflow
Useful to a broad audience
Ready to use with minimal setup

Consider including a short explanation of how the tool(s) improves your workflow or saves time.

Submission Review Process

Every submission is reviewed by the Bluebeam Community Team before being published and may take a couple weeks.

Our review looks at:

Functionality
Organization and usability
Overall quality
Community usefulness
Compatibility with Revu
Compliance with Bluebeam publishing standards

Depending on the review, your submission may be:

Approved
Approved with minor edits
Returned with requested revisions
Declined if it does not meet program requirements

Submission Guidelines

To be considered for publication, your submission should:

Be your own original work or something you have permission to share
Not contain confidential or proprietary information
Not include copyrighted or third-party content without permission
Be appropriate for public distribution
Be relevant to Revu workflows

Contributor Recognition

If your tool is approved, you may receive:

Contributor credit on the published library entry
A Community contributor badge
Opportunities to be featured in Community announcements or spotlights

Approved submissions will be identified as Bluebeam Verified, indicating they have been reviewed against the Custom Libraries program standards.

Tips for Success

Before submitting, ask yourself:

Would another Revu user understand how to use this?
Does it solve a common workflow challenge?
Are the tools clearly named and organized?
Have I removed any confidential or company-specific information?
