Automatic Room Recognition

Question

Hello,

I want automatically identify rooms in a PDF (e.g., with its defining points and their relative coordinates in the PDF). I want to use that information to assign e.g, pins to rooms where they are placed on the PDF.

Is this somehow possible/ will it be possible in BlueBeam Max ?

What you will probably need to do is establish Spaces.

Spaces in Revu are essentially rooms, however they are also be defined as Floors, Phases, Elevations, you name it.

The Space doesn't appear in the markups list… until you place a markup inside that space. Once you do, all the metadata associated with that markup is now in your markups lists, which can be exported like any other data.

Combing data is another matter. I would personally be using something like Power Query to pull the data from multiple sources and combine them.

There has been some discussion about uploading data back to Revu with Claude and MAX, but we shall see how all that plays out

Thanks already for the quick response and help.

Okey, let‘s assume I would know the rooms on the pdf. How would it be possible to..

* Identity if a Pin is inside a room and which Pin it is. 
* To combine the Meta data from each pin (from another Software) with BlueBeam.

The following Information I have from the export of the other Software:

- Relative x and y coordinates from the Pins, PlanId on which plan a Pin is located and other meta data of the pins.

Regarding Point 2.: How is the behaviour of BlueBeam regarding APIs to possible combine data ?

I think what you're looking for is automatic Spaces creation. I would LOVE this feature.

That can actually be done when the drawings are exported from Revit. More Architects need to start doing this. Its easy too, just click a damn radio button and it happens.

As for the co-ordinates, not sure if that's a thing
