I did a quick search here and I was not able to find that this was asked here. But was BB recently updated to have the "repeat last" command? and if not, is there a plan to add this?
Can you please expand on this a bit more? I don't know of any 'commands' in Bluebeam. If you mean reuse the last tool then that is down in your status bar:
this will allow you to reuse the selected markup tool repeatedly without having to re-select it after each use. You then hit ESC to end using it.
I am using Auto CAD lingo here a bit, I apologize.
For me, the "reuse markup tool" has no effect. Tool stays active regardless.
In AutoCAD, after you ESC from a command, you can reactive last used tool with hitting spacebar. So is there a similar option in BlueBeam. After you ESC from a tool, to have an option/hotkey that will reselect the last used tool.
I understood what you meant by command and agree, sometimes you didn't plan to reuse a markup tool so even if you knew about the ' Reuse Markup Tool' feature that @Duane Gingras mentioned (I didn't), you may want to be able to right-click and have the last tool listed for quick access.
And thanks for the tip Duane.
Alright. I just learned that "reuse markup tool" works only for the markups in the toolbox. not line, text, etc. Those are by default "reusable". Like @Luke Shiras said, an option to select the last select tool. Granted hotkeys are useful, but sometimes, you are using a tool that you do not use that often and option to reselect it quickly (like spacebar in Auto CAD) would go long ways.
👆️This, this is why I started learning shortcuts. Even though my tool bars were easy to navigate, the extra time to move my mouse back and forth can add up after a while, especially on larger monitors.
Ah, i see what you mean. I f you use a tool and then go back to cursor you would like a quick way to go back to that last used tool. Short answer is, No.
However you can do the following. if there are tools that you typically use on a regular basis drag then to you 'my tools section' and then you just press the corresponding number on your keyboard. This is an example of my "My Tools"
The little numbers in the top right of each tool is your short cut. These are the tools i use on a daily basis so i just tap a number between 1 and 14 to select any tool. I also move things around in "My Tools" as needed. My full set in "My Tools" is 32 entries, but i regularly only use the top 6 or 7 spots. Press 3 to add a comments, ESC, press 4 to add comment with leader, ESC… and so on. All my typical tools are within reach of my left had.
Not everyone that uses BlueBeam is a power user. I personally have no problems, but I am thinking about other coworkers that do not use it as often and/or are not BB savvy. Is there a way to elevate this question to BB developers?
After my laptop was replaced and I reinstalled all engineering apps, including Bluebeam. However, the Projectwise plug in is completely missing. Of course, not having plug in, I can't configure my datasources. All I have is sharepoint as document management system in preferences which is totally useless for me as for many…
Does anyone know how to add a user? I added a seat to our program but im not sure how to actually use it so someone else can use our program as well. How does adding the second user work?
log in I am really tired of having to log into Bluebeam every time I open it. Please figure out another way. This is the only application on our PCs that require this.
Just started happening after I had to do a preferences reset. Each time I open a existing pdf file on my companies server, I get the error that the file is locked by another user. I know that it is not, so I click retry, and it opens just fine. Happens again even after closing the file and then attempting to open it again.…
Is it possible to remove restrictions on a PDF file in Bluebeam? I frequently download PDF files from many manufacturers and they often put security restrictions on them which is difficult to share with other trades/collaborators. I've tried using online PDF tools but they only let you remove security on a couple files at…
I have some drawings where the Pan Tool (hand icon) works like this - 1)Left mouse button held, hand grabs whole drawing and moves it around. Mouse scroll wheel zooms in and out. I have other drawings where it works like this- 2) Left mouse button held, hand grabs whole drawing and moves it around (same). Mouse scroll…
I have hidden my measurements, or mark-ups, how do I get access to it?
I would like to know, in the core plan, when I replace pages my markups are removed. How do I replace pages and keep al of my spaces and markups?
Hello - I work with multi page PDF documents that I need to convert to TIFF. When i use the "File - Export - TIFF" command, it only converts the first page of the PDF to TIFF.
