Opening existing PDF file

Just started happening after I had to do a preferences reset.

Each time I open a existing pdf file on my companies server, I get the error that the file is locked by another user. I know that it is not, so I click retry, and it opens just fine. Happens again even after closing the file and then attempting to open it again.

Any suggestions?

Also seen some file opening challenges when the file path is very long, which will include the file name in the length. Just for testing, copy the file to your C drive and see if that has a similar issue.
