Nice, I especially like the idea of grouping the related Line and Fill properties together it would make the Properties panel feel much more organized.

The Tool Chest: Recents idea is also interesting. Having recently used settings or tools available through a quick selection area, specific to each markup type, could definitely speed up repetitive workflows.
