Current Behavior:
Revu Studio Session permissions are configured on a Session-by-Session basis. There is currently no way to establish default reviewer permissions that automatically apply when creating or joining a Session.
Requested Improvement:
Allow users or organizations to establish default permissions for Session reviewers.
For example, an organization could define a standard reviewer permission level that automatically applies when a new Studio Session is created, while still allowing the Session Host to modify permissions for individual Sessions when necessary.
Why This Would Be Valuable:
Organizations often use Studio Sessions repeatedly for the same type of workflow and with the same groups of reviewers. Requiring the Session Host to manually configure permissions for each Session creates additional administrative work and can result in inconsistent permissions between Sessions.
Our team routinely creates Studio Sessions for plan reviews involving multiple reviewers. Establishing a standard default reviewer permission level would make the process more efficient and ensure that reviewers consistently receive the access required to perform their role.
Suggested Functionality:
Please consider providing:
- User-level defaults: Allow users to establish their preferred default reviewer permissions for Sessions they create.
- Organization-level defaults: Allow administrators to establish standard reviewer permissions for recurring workflows.
- The Session Host should retain the ability to override the default settings when a particular project requires different permissions.
