Hyper links are broken for no apparent reason?

Has any of you ever had you hyperlinks all break when flattening? or unflattening? I had this happen today. I am a little sour, lol. I have to go redirect all of my links in that document. Very big document! Lesson learned. Save a copy, then save another to be safe.

Ouch 😅 That’s a painful one especially on a huge document!

I’ve seen flattening/unflattening cause some unexpected behavior with markups and links. Definitely a good reminder: Save As → make a backup → then flatten.

I don't have an answer as to why your links borked, but by chance do you have your "save mode" set to "maintain revisions" in the preferences? If so, you can go to FILE>Revert As and restore a previous version. This has save me more times than I care to admit.

All my unflattened "Master Files" are kept this way. Once I send off a document I FILE>Publish>Published As Compressed. This removes the versions and shrinks the files size but does NOT flatten the document.

As I'm typing this I'm realizing it should probably be a Tips & Tricks post. @Dhanush Kodi Raj this would be a good additional to your current "Finding underrated tools/features" series you have going.
