I use a lot of templates for cable reports. I build out the reports ahead of cable testing and hyperlink to them from my cable schedule. Is there a quick way to access a template? I have not found a way to hotkey one? Is that possible?
@Roy Triggs, this can be accomplished by using Enable Number Shortcuts for tool chests. The hot keys only work for one tool chest at a time. You designate which tool set gets the number shortcuts (Settings > Edit), and then every tool in that chest gets numbered 1, 2, 3, etc. based on its order. So if your templates live in that chest, you could hit the number to jump straight to one. Just keep in mind it's tied to that single chest, if you switch to a different one, the numbers apply there instead.

It would be a nice feature for Bluebeam to consider adding permanent hotkeys to specific tool chest items, regardless of which chest is active or how it's ordered. Might be worth posting as a feature request too. Hope this helps!
I probably should have explained better. I am using templates from the "New PDF from Template" folder. I build my own form templates within that folder. I would like to be able to hot key to those templates within that folder.
@Roy Triggs ah gotcha , makes sense. Yeah a direct hotkey to those templates would be nice indeed.
If these were just markups you could select everything on the drawing and save it as a Tool Chest item, use the toolk chest hotkey to place it onto a blank page whenever you need it. But that won't work for forms, Tool Chest items don't support form fields (I believe!).
In the meantime, perhaps another option would be to save the template as a PDF and pin it to the file access area for quicker access. Not a true hotkey, but cuts down some clicks until Bluebeam adds that feature.
Came to say the same thing. I believe its the cleanest way.
