Sketch to Scale Auto Updating Manually Entered Measurements

Hello! I am trying to recreate a drawing that is shown in the attached image. I am using the sketch to scale tool, and manually inputting the measurements. However, when I put in the correct measurement, Bluebeam seems to automatically change/update it. This causes the drawing measurement to be off by a little.

Do you guys know how I could stop the measurements from changing when I input them? I figure it might have something to do with my scale? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I figured it out.

Solution is as follows:

Select the sketch to scale tool.
Change the "length" in the measurements panel from FT-IN to IN.
Click on the page and input your desired measurements.
Right click on the completed object (rectangle in this case) and select "set as default"

After setting as default you can skip steps 2-4 for future measurements.

Did you turn off your snaps? That's the first thing to try. Look in the lower right and deselect the three circled buttons.

@Christian Britton I'm unable to recreate the issue on 21.3.

I see @Dan Phillips already suggested turning off snaps which was also my first guess. That said I would leave snap to markup ON and ensure snap to page content is OFF. If your status bar is hidden you can press F8 to bring the snap to buttons.

Definitely make sure snap to grid is OFF. That one has messed me up in the past.

Works for me on 21.7. I thought there was a version or two in there that had some precision issues. @Christian Britton what version are you on?

Yes snaps are off. I only turn on snap to markup when checking the measurements.

Thank you this worked! The numbers still change when I type them in, but if I do it 2 or 3 times, they eventually stay. I'm guessing the auto update has to do with the version I am on since others don't seem to have this issue.

Check your precision. If you were putting numbers in on ft'-in" mode, it might have been trying to round to the nearest quarter inch (or whatever). You can set precision to the smallest increment (1/32 or 0.00001) to draw and then dial it back to 1/4 or 0.01 for display purposes.
