Roadmap Question: Templates and Database for Field Documentation

We are currently reviewing our licenses and find that we lack the necessary functionality to scale up or even maintain our current number of licenses. We would like to see functionality for creating and managing templates for control plans, commissioning protocols, checklists, and similar field documentation, with results that can be presented clearly and professionally to supervisors and clients. It would also be highly valuable to have access to a centralized database containing this information to enable efficient follow up of the overall project status.

Anything like this on the roadmap?

Hey @Matias Leinikka, thanks for outlining this. What you’re describing sounds like structured field data capture: defining templates for control plans or checklists, sending them to the field, then centralizing the results for reporting and project-level oversight. (Please let me know if my assumption is incorrect).

Today, that type of form-based workflow lives in our Task Link integration with GoCanvas, which supports configurable form templates and centralized data collection. If you haven’t looked at it yet, that’s the closest match to what you’re describing.

Longer term, we’re exploring ways to tie structured field data more closely to drawings and markups, so that documentation and project context live together. That direction aligns with the need you’re describing, but the full template + centralized database workflow is not yet native in Bluebeam Cloud itself.

If you’re open to it, I’d be interested in understanding more about your specific control plan or commissioning workflow so we can evaluate how it maps to what exists today and where gaps remain.
