You need to add measurement scale to your page. Use the poly line measurement tool (Alt+Shift+Q).
This will give you segment and overall horizontal lengths. Then in the mark-up list you can add a calculated field to add your vertical drop(s).

I'm not sure what you mean by automate in this context, as I do not understand your workflow. You can draw a poly line measurement and add it to or create a toolbox. In the toolbox you can change the subject from "Polyline Measurement" to something like "Cable Length". Also change the tool from Drawing Mode to Properties mode.
That way you can drag and drop from your toolbox to the page to do your measurements.
In your markups panel I'd add the column "Label". For every route you'd need to add the cable tag.
Once you've completed all your routings you can export the markups to excel. You can sort by Subject and/or Label and you'll have all of your cable lengths.
If you're looking for something else, if you have an unflattened PDF from CAD where all the CAD layers show up, I can look in to it

I marked up a cloud in Revu and added three comments to the markup. On the web version, I can see all three comments. However, on the iPad, only two are displayed, and the first comment is not visible. Does anybody know how to display the first comment on the iPad?
