Adding a custom column to Markups

I've added a custom column (check mark) to the Markups List. However, when I add a pdf to a BB session none of my co-workers can check/uncheck the check box. I had them add the profile it was saved to when creating but still nothing.

Anyone know where I went wrong?

I believe in a session the only markup column that all users can edit is Status. Only the person who made a markup can change their markup including a custom checked/unchecked. They can reply to the markup and add their own stuff, but you cannot filter or sort on replies in Bluebeam. It's disappointing, I asked BB to allow more fields to be editable by all users in sessions years ago.
