Can tool box icons be revised to show text

As part of preliminary estimating for roadway projects I have created a custom toolbox for area, length and count items. I can change the color. Is there a way to change the icon to something like SW for sidewalk area? I have the measuring tools set up with custom labels and layers to facilitate review and quantity total for export to CSV and EXCEL.

You can turn on the captions to show the label. I just find that it makes the drawing too busy.

Hopefully, you're also using your Subject in your labeling process too.

My concern was getting the correct icon. Label/caption on plans are good at times, cluttered at other times. Thanks for prompt response.
