Form Support To Cloud

The company I work for uses Bluebeam Revu for IPAD Religiously for Studio and for site forms for QA/QC, daily reports, etc. We hate to see it going away, but we understand progress. We also see that cloud has a long ways to go to be a contender to it's predecessor. When will all of the previous tool sets be added in to Cloud? Then, some projects are in enclosed spaces and we don't get signal, is there going to be a "work offline" mode added in again? Instead of opening everything while you have signal and hoping you got it all? Also, Forms. Currently Cloud doesn't support forms at all. Our superintendents use forms for their QA/QC so they can attach pictures to the sheet and send them out to the required parties, quick and simple. Can we get alot of those basic tools added back in? In essence, making it Revu 2.0 in the cloud for IPad?

Hi @Burnie,

Thanks for sharing this feedback. The new Bluebeam app has been rebuilt from the ground up, starting with reliable file access and core markup tools. In September, we introduced the ability to make projects and their contents available offline — just long-press on a project or file and choose “Make available offline.” The app will then sync those files to your device so you can open them later without a connection. Any updates made to those files will automatically sync when you’re back online.

Coming in December, you’ll be able to fill out form fields and place basic measurements. We’re also partnering with the Revu team to bring Tool Set syncing to mobile in the months ahead, allowing you to curate and access your custom tools from Revu directly in the field.

Perfect, thank you for the heads up. Will we still be able to make photo attachments as in revu for Ipad? I believe currently it's only on sheet. The way we had our forms set up in Revu, we had a photos line at the bottom and the superintendents would take the photos as attachments so it took up less space on the sheet. Then they would email them to all parties involved. People just clicked the camera or paper clip icon to view the pictures. That way it could still just be one sheet without a lot of clutter. It made it very clean and easy.

I agree that photo attachments are important. We see that as a big part of keeping drawings clean and organized. In 2026, we’re bringing in the same image capture feature that Revu supports, so you can take photos in the field and attach them to your markups to send back to the office.

The foundation we’ve built up to today has been about giving users reliable access to files and the ability to capture information through markups, comments, and status updates from the field. Measurements, Custom Tools, and capturing images in markups are the next steps in that progression.

If image capturing is an adoption blocker to using the new app until the feature is available, Revu for iPad will continue to work on older versions of iPadOS. I recommend turning off automatic iOS updates to avoid compatibility issues as iPadOS evolves next year.

Finally, I want to get to this point: once we have Tool Sets, measurements, and image capturing, what other critical features do you need in order to adopt this?

That's all great news. As of right now, with these changes we've discussed, it sounds like it's going in the right direction. Right off the top of my head I can't think of any other changes. We've always just loved the workflow continuity that Bluebeam provides. Thank you for getting back to me on all of this, it definitely helps. The company I work for was reluctantly wanting me to look into other avenues to accomplish what we needed, but it sounds like we can definitely stay with using what we're familiar with. With the understanding that it may take a little time to get things where they are going. All of this information you have provided has definitely eased our concerns.
