Here is a quick description of some tasks we would like you to perform in 3D Drawings. During this process we encourage you to add your own plans and explore 3D Drawings by connecting different floor plans to elevations. Experiment with the various features to understand how they can enhance your workflows. After you have taken the time to explore 3D Drawings, we will follow up with some brief surveys to collect your thoughts about 3D Drawings and your experience using it.
Accessing 3D Drawings
- Login to Bluebeam Cloud:
- Upon receiving access to 3D Drawings, a new tab labeled “Labs” will appear.
- Click on the “Labs” tab to find all the experiments you are participating in. Some of you may also see Estimates listed here if you are participating in that experiment as well.
- Creating and Managing Projects:
- To create a new 3D drawing project, click on the "Create Project" button and provide a name for your project.
- If you already have projects created, they will be listed on the 3D Drawings page.
Uploading and Managing Drawings
- Uploading Drawings:
- After creating a project, start by uploading your plan drawings. Using your own drawings is recommended to get the most relevant results for your environment.
- Viewing and Interacting with Sheets:
- After you have uploaded your drawings, open the project, and review the sheets to verify everything looks as expected.
- Get started by looking at a sheet in your drawing set in this example, we looking at A02.
- Click into the metadata of the drawing. Not that the AI has scanned the drawing and extracted information such as the drawing number, name, discipline, floor, and drawing type.
- Elevation Sheets:
- Next select an elevation drawing and view the meta data. Verify that the AI has detected multiple elevation elements within a drawing and distinguished between them as expected.
- These elevation elements will be integrated into your 3D model view, so it is important that these have been linked accurately.
