Bluebeam Cloud/Revu App Petition

Here we are in September and it seems like the development of Bluebeam cloud is not where it should be for them to retire the Revu app. So while testing Bluebeam cloud out today, I can import custom tools but you can't see them in list form, you can't adjust comments in the markups, you can't filter markups. What are we doing. You can't see spaces and this is just on the web version. The app on the iPad is worse and useless at this point.

I WANT TO PETITION FOR THE REVU APP TO STAY UNTIL THE CLOUD APP IS BETTER DEVELOPED. I DON'T SEE THE CLOUD APP GETTING DEVELOPED ENOUGH BY DECEMBER. This is very disappointing😒.

Hi @SCruz-A&M Drywall,

As I’ve mentioned in previous responses, the retirement of Revu for iPad from the App Store will not remove it from your devices. You’ll still be able to use it well beyond 12/31 unless Apple makes changes that affect compatibility.

In the meantime, next week’s release brings important updates: editing locally stored PDFs, offline Studio Projects, a pen eraser, and freehand performance improvements. Tool sets and basic measurements will follow later this year, with filtering and additional features planned for 2026.

@Shawn Dawson that still leaves your users in a bad position. Bluebeam needs to reconsider until the cloud app is better developed. There should still be updates to the legacy app keeping it functioning for those who can't use the cloud app because it isn't developed completely. Who can users talk to and petition for the legacy app to stay fully active until there is a better outcome with the cloud app. Its just crazy that Bluebeam is getting push back from the iPad users and we are not being considered in anyway. Do you even understand what this does for us out in the field for my company it cripples us. I am about innovation when its there, but its not there with the cloud app. I have been a active advocate for Bluebeam for many years, but at this point regret is setting in. I would love to switch to the cloud app if it had what I need to provide our field the proper documentation tools that I have been able to given them already in the legacy app.

I understand your concerns, but I want to be clear on two points.

Apple no longer supports updates for the Revu for iPad app. It is built on technology that is too old to maintain, which is outside of our control.
The features you have highlighted are already on our roadmap. You will see major improvements this month, more later this year, and additional capabilities in 2026.

Revu for iPad will continue to function on your current devices well into 2026 as long as it remains installed. This allows you to keep your existing workflows active while we complete the transition to the new app.

I will let my employees know this information if we continue to use Bluebeam in 2026. I am throwing in the towel at this point. Good day sir.
