I don't know how mark-ups are usually done for cost estimates, but I do it using the mark-up titles and etiquettes and using the legend to see the quantities. I think it would be helpful to have the brush also take the specification of title and or etiquette.
Because then I can turn a a masonry wall into RC just using the brush, without having to adjust the title / etiquette manually.

The brush is the tool that copies properties from one mark-up to another.
I want that the brush also copies the subject and etiquette of the mark-up, too.

I see the value in being able to copy properties from one item to another, but I’d be cautious about making it standard to copy all properties, it could affect takeoff data. (for example, if the description or notes include project-specific comments, like a unique masonry wall detail, or a specific panel detail, I wouldn't want that data copied over to another item that isn't relevant.)

If this can be made customizable, I’d support that approach.

You're better off to just create custom tools instead of using the one on your toolbars
