Movable "Locked" Shapes

I would like another option for locking that allows for a shapes dimensions to be locked, but still be able to move the shape / sketch around. An example of this would be a toggle for "dimension lock" where I could trace the outline of a building and rotate / move it around a site or property without accidentally changing the traced building's size.

I don't think I understand the problem here. When you draw a rectangle, you can't move it or rotate it without changing the dimensions?

If I'm understanding right, I think Jimmy is trying to lock the size of the shape so no matter what part you grab you don't need to be careful of grabbing the circle pulls that let you adjust shape. (similar to deselecting "move pinned objects" in revit if that helps.)

A workaround for this for now — would be to add the shape at the size you want to a unique toolbox, I have one called "bubble diagram" and once its a tool, you can stamp it and move it around but not edit it. @Jimmy Cutler

Thanks @Darbie, you are correct in your assumption. I am looking to draw a shape that I can move around and rotate, but not be able to change the geometry via the pull dots at the vertices. Take the polygon below as an example.

I attempted your workaround with the shape below by adding it to My Tools, however when I stamp it back down, I am still able to adjust the vertices between line segments.

I forgot one step, once the item is drawn, you have to snapshot(G) it and add THAT to your toolbox. I just doubled checked in my own Bluebeam to make sure I am not having another dumb attack, and it was working.

The north one here has those control points, was added as a polyline to my toolbox and stayed a polyline when it was stamped. The south one is a snap shot of the north one, with the snapshot added to the toolbox. I can still edit overall size but no control point are visible.

Again this is just a work around, it would be nice to have "lock control points" as a toggle in this area to prevent this!

Not a great alternative per se, but another way to safely move it could be to use the multiply command and then just delete the original. I think it would be a lot more work in most cases, but when it's needed it's a lifesaver.

I was about to suggest making it a group, but that requires two or more markups. So you could add a second markup (pen dot, text, highlight, etc.) and then make them a group. This is fewer steps and leaves your toolbox clean.

Please add subfolders for documents within sessions
