A 'READ ALOUD' Transcription Feature

I open and review a lot of legal contracts using Bluebeam. It would be nice to have an option to have an audio playback feature, like on Word, that identifies and reads the text for those that are visually impaired.

I use Bluebeam with a lot of specifications, procedures, etc…

sometimes it would be nice to just let it read to me as an integrated feature

    what do you think?

It may be better to use a third-party text-to-speech program rather than including it in Bluebeam. However, if it were a plugin where you could download just the languages you want when you want, it could provide functionality without adding bloat.

Hi @Kylan Brox. Thanks for sharing this. This is good accessibility feedback. We will note it.

I agree with Kylan. I use an audio playback on many apps. I am hoping that Bluebeam might integrate a reader soon.

Can Bluebeam reach out to any good provider like Natural reader or Microsoft for the plugin / integration?

  • I also agree with Kylan. I use an audio playback on many apps and web browser. Can Bluebeam work with a good reader (e.g. natural reader or the reader in Microsoft edge) and get an integration. I end up having to move from Bluebeam and open the PDF with the Microsoft edge browser.
