Hide items from Markups List, but leave them visible in the PDF view?

Hello Everyone,
Frequently, the plans we receive have a lot of existing markup from the engineer, etc. These are artifacts visible in both the PDF view and the Markups List. Is there a simple way to hide these from the Markups List but leave them visible in the PDF?
These are not relevant to my workflow in the Markups List and they are distracting as the list re-expands them and there can be 1,000s of them. I still need to see them on the relevant page, so just hiding them isn't a workable solution. I've tried the "Filter List" option, but that also doesn't seem to satisfy this need.
Thank you

If you do not need to interact with those markups, you might try flattening them [Document → Flatten]. Make sure to check Allow Markup Recovery (Unflatten) to regain access in the future.
The markups are part of the PDF and data in the Markups List is gone. To reverse this, Document → Unflatten.

Thanks @Ryan Arbuckle , I'll give that a shot. They really slow down the screen refreshes, etc when you have so many of those coming in with the document.

Another way to manage completed markups in the list is to right click and select status for each markup that you finish, "completed" for example. Then you can sort by status and collapse those items on the list. This adds a click to the process for each item but it might be worth it if you foresee having to further interact with markups that are completed…. I don't know about you guys but some of my colleagues change their minds a lot. Dang architects. ;-)

The challenge is that it re-expands the Markup List every time you change pages. And with thousands embedded by AutoCad when I receive it, it really slows down the process. Only a second or less, but it is on nearly every interaction. I wish there was a way to make a Subject disappear from the Markup List, but still have it visible in the PDF view. I prefer not to flatten b/c it has a lot of downstream impacts:
- You lose your own markup as flattening is all or nothing. So you either do it first or you are starting over.
- If you get updated plans, your Compare tool is hosed.
- It affects Search capabilities. Some plans have all of the detail of Notes that go away with flattening.
- I'm sure there are others I haven't thought through

I just found this tip on Peer Support. It seems to be helping.
