This is a question I would really like to have a discussion about within the community, this may end up being a suggestion to the developers if what I am asking for is not possible, let's find out. For a reference to the following please see the attached pictures.
I have a need to create a Custom Polylength Tool. I have created many, however I would like to be able to create one that allows for multiple line types to be shown all at the same time. In looking at my attached photo "Multiple lines at Once", this is an example where I am needing to show multiple lines (100 & 150mm Ducts, Trench Route @ 1.0m from property line, and a proposed Utility Right of Way @ various offsets from property line).
To create this, I currently have to use individual Polylength tools that I have created, each with different offsets built in utilizing the "Offset" feature within the "Line Style Editor".
As you can see each of the lines have embedded text, various line weights, thicknesses & colors.
Currently within the "Line Style Editor" I can create multiple lines each at different Offsets, I can add text to each of those different lines, but what I am not able to do is to assign each of those different lines a width and a color.
So, because I am unable to make the lines look different from each other, I have had no other option but to create individual Polylength tools. This however means that I now have to spent a lot of time drawing individual lines and this is not very efficient.
Has anyone else tried creating anything like what I am describing? and what solutions have you come up with for overcoming this challenge?
Thanks Everyone
