I am very new to BlueBeam, I have managed to insert my Professional engineer stamp, I need to insert the date and signature on the stamp, meaning to layover the date and signature on the stamp in a certain area, and all should be visible.
Welcome to Bluebeam.
What you're going to need to do is learn how to make a dynamic stamp. There are videos and other tutorials on the subject, so it shouldn't be too hard to find.
The stamp will have a small amount of JavaScript in it, which will allow you to place those variables.
Good luck
Thank you Doug!
You can make the stamp without using JavaScript by using Dynamic Fill. Just add a text box to the stamp and choose "Date" from the "Dynamic" dropdown. See the example below.
Note: The date shown will be the date the stamp is applied, and it can't be changed.
Hope this helps.
Another thing to remember when stamping your engineer's seal/stamp onto PDF's is to double check what your regulatory body allows in regards to signing/stamping digital documents. For instance both APEGA & EGBC seem to recommend utilizing Notarius for their digital stamps:APEGA Digital SignaturesNotarius link for APEGA If you look under PRactice Advisor FAQ on the EGBC site (Specifically the 2nd point on sealing documents) reads:
"No, a scanned image of your seal, signature, and date, cannot be applied. However, the image of the seal can be scanned and applied to a document, which is then printed, signed, and dated. The legal requirement is that the signature is live.
For more information on sealing requirements please read the Quality Management Guides."
https://www.egbc.ca/registrants/practice-resources/practice-advice-program/practice-advisor-faqs I believe that you can still utilize Bluebeam for this - the signing registrant for our company manages it so if there's any confusion I can reach out to inquire further details regarding how they have it setup.
Just a FYI @David Kozuchar - were you aware that Bluebeam Stapler removes the digital signature from previously signed documents from Notarius / Consign-O?
Is there any way to autogenerate markups in Bluebeam instead of manually tracing every area and perimeter? I bid multiple jobs a week, and these "robotic" takeoffs are a huge bottleneck. Does Bluebeam have an AI feature to auto-detect these boundaries and generate the markups? Manually tracing miles of sidewalk, asphalt,…
Acting as the owners representative I would like to be able to to walk through our projects with an Ipad in hand, open to our drawings; mark up the drawings, tag the mark up with a picture and description in efforts to issue as a "deficiency report" to the construction team. We would hope to use this to create a site visit…
I have recently begun using Bluebeam projects to test out the functionality when going from the office to the field and trying to take advantage of "one uniform set" that the Projects feature offers. Last week I've run into an issue where on my iPad, the file I am using in Proejct gives the message "Unable to Open…
Hey guys, I have an excel template I use for take-offs. While on the spreadsheet, when I set the source file to the drawing, there is a very small chance that it successfully links. Usually, I have to set the source file, nothing happens, so I then set up a new quantity link. When i setup a new link, all the other quantity…
I'm trying to fill out some ITB Documents with BB but whenever I create a new text box and then type in the text box my space bar does not work. This just becomes a long string of words. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the program but the issue remains. I never had this problem previously, and have been running BB…
When I am working with multiple pdf files, I have to extend one or more files to the second monitor. When a pdf is brought to the second monitor, the Bluebeam ribbon and menus will not go along with it to the second monitor and I will always have to select the tools from the original bluebeam window in the fist monitor. In…
Is it possible to extract data from multiple pre-defined locations on hundreds of scanned PDF's and extract/export to excel? Scanned pdf's would have same form and locations of information. I have been able to extract all of information on pages (creates mess) but no way to capture just certain fields/locations?
Good Morning Has anyone successfully imported their take-off from Bluebeam via excel into Trimble Contract Master Estimation software and have you managed to link an item in that take off to your database item?
Please correct me if I'm posting in the wrong spot: I had slow 2D rendering on a Lenovo P15 Gen 1 on several versions up to 21.6, then 21.6.1 seemed to fix the issue. With 21.8, the issue has returned. The usual 2D render settings have no effect on the behavior (it's as if it's stuck on iterative draw). Paging through PDFs…
Can someone please help with what seems to be a very simple question. I've turned off the "Snap to Content" button but my measurement tool still wants to snap. Every snap button is turned off. Grid is turned off. I just can't figure it out. Can someone help?
