This was an interesting conversation. I think our current Bluebeam Community shows this diversity of career options pretty well. Bluebeam is certainly NOT a one-trick pony. My dad was a concrete finisher for about 30 years and told me to stay far away from construction. He told me to get a degree and find a good desk job. Well, I got the degree and a good desk job… in the construction industry. I hope he isn't disappointed in me. I actually tried to stay clear. I joined the Army, went to college for about 10 years (only one degree to show for it though), and married a city girl. I thought I'd never need to deal with the trades. Well, I don't recall exactly what got me here (probably the COVID lockdowns), but I couldn't be happier, and Revu is one of my all time favorite programs to work with. As for the Mean Tweets… that was pretty funny. I love when total strangers say things like "this is the worst thing ever 0/10". They give no support to the claim and expect other strangers on the internet to just take their word for it. lol
What a great story. I've been really thinking that we need to get more of these kind of stories into the podcast in the future, I like to hear people's "origin stories". Also I was a bit worried that the mean tweets thing might come off as me not taking feedback seriously. My whole job is bascially listening to people complain about Bluebeam and I want them to know that it IS important to me to understand what's going on and to try to find solutions and fixes. But it was fun to just joke around with Luke, so I think it came off in a light hearted way. Next episode is coming out soon, so stay tuned as they say!
Great to hear Stephanie's and Luke's origin stories. It was quite an entertaining and informative episode to listen and watch. Nice work team!! I had to laugh when Stephanie mentioned doing door takeoffs as this is a big part of my job today being a doors and hardware subcontractor. Looking forward to watching episode 2 :).
Just wondering what everyone is using in the field other than an IPad? Any Galaxy Tab, etc. users out there? If so, have you got any feedback?
The rectangle function will allow a colored fill to be used, as will the ellipse function. Is there a way to "fill" an area that is defined by a polyline?
I’m using Bluebeam Revu 21.8 – Complete and trying to streamline navigation in a drawing set. My goal is to auto-create hyperlinks from callouts (e.g. 5/A401) that jump directly to the referenced detail viewport, not just to the destination sheet as a whole. I understand that Bluebeam can create page-to-page links, but I’m…
this change from Bluebeam for iPad to Bluebeam cloud just made the program useless. When we are in the field, attaching a photo to a markup was 80% of the point, so when exporting a summary, the photo would be with the callout. How is this most-used feature gone? I am just now finding this out at 1am and have to travel in…
Is there an option or way to disable the feature that allows a double left click to prompt the area box that allows you to zoom?
Good afternoon, I'm dealing with plans where every page is a differant scale. When I switch the scale on a differant page, it changes qunatities for all pages. I tried using viewports but it won't show me the total rollup on the bottom of the whole project. Any ideas? Thank you!
I wish we had subcategories under Toolchest. I have made tools for every category of plumbing using the Norwegian standard for naming them. But I wish there were subcategories for that as well. There are a lot of tools to create. I have also made my own linestyle for every one of the pipe tools. It have been easier if I…
What is the schedule for enabling Cloud to allow batch stamping and signing of pdfs along with digital signatures as is available in Revu on Windows? It would be most helpful to be able to access, stamp, and sign drawings on an ipad instead of carrying laptops.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this error message pop up in the last few days?
New Year new problems😶 we are trying to setup our field iPads to use BlueBeam and are having issues. BB Support indicate the iPad app is no longer supported as of Dec 2025 and to use the web portal app.bluebeam.com, when we enter the web portal address in the iPad browser it directs us to download the mobile app. What is…
