Use AI to access MCP in the backgroud

I would like to have the Bluebeam MCP run in the background while the user is still using the shop drawing to do whatever action they need to take.

Normally, in the current situation, when users use the AI MCP to access the Bluebeam drawing, we can't take any action in the Bluebeam software, which affects overall work efficiency.

Hi Terry Li,

thanks for raising this. Having to wait for the AI to finish before you can act in Revu is a real efficiency cost on shop drawing work, and it's a fair ask for the product team. I haven't found anything in Bluebeam's documentation that describes background operation for the MCP connection, so I can't say it's supported today.

In the meantime, a couple of things may reduce the wait. Try breaking big requests into smaller ones, such as a few sheets or one category at a time, so each run finishes faster. For read-only tasks like counts and summaries, you could also point the AI at a duplicate copy of the drawing and keep working in your original, then compare afterwards. Please test this on your own setup first, as I can't confirm how Revu behaves while the connection is busy.
