Specification Edit Reverse Z Deletion

Question

When editing specifications, typically we will draw a reverse Z over paragraphs that we will need to delete, it may be a small Z to delete one paragraph or a big Z to delete the entire page. What is the best way to speed up this repetitive work?

I was thinking of creating a reverse Z shape and place in the toolchest and scale it in the Y-axis only if I need to delete multiple paragraphs, can you scale it in the Y-axis only?

The other ways that I can think of is use polyline to draw a reverse Z, but then you will need to manually move the control points and stretch it to cover multiple paragraphs.

Any thoughts and ideas?

I’d try the Tool Chest approach. Save the reverse Z as a reusable Polyline markup, then you can place it whenever needed instead of drawing it from scratch.

For different paragraph counts, you can resize the Polyline vertically by dragging the control points, rather than recreating the entire Z each time. You could also keep a few versions in the Tool Chest for one paragraph, several paragraphs, and a full page.

That would probably be the quickest workflow for something this repetitive.

I'd also recommend the tool chest approach.

* Draw a polyline reversed Z
* Save it to the tool chest.
* Select the tool and place it over the paragraph.
* Hold SHIFT to unlock the aspect ratio.
* Click on the corner control point of the bounding box and drag to fit your needs.
