Is there a way to remove pen smoothing on the desktop version? A recent update appears to have increased the smoothing on pen markups and smooths it to the point where the markups are unreadable. I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue or if this feature can be turned off or dialed back? Any help is appreciated.
I don't believe so. There are multiple threads about this bug. The last update is that they have created a fix but it wont be available until the next update. I'm not sure when the update will be released.
Hi mpasineau
Noticed something similar after a recent update too, pen markups just don't look like what I actually drew anymore. Not 100% sure there's an exposed slider for smoothing level specifically, I've poked around Preferences under the Pencil/markup tool settings and haven't found an obvious dial for it, could be I'm missing it though.
If it's blocking real work, might be worth rolling back to the previous Revu build for now until this gets sorted, that's usually the fastest fix when an update changes tool behavior like this. Definitely worth reporting straight to Bluebeam Support as a regression too, since this sounds like something baked into the update itself rather than a setting you can toggle from your end. Thank You
