I love the new feature in Blubeam for mobile to embed a captured image in markups. How ever I have a few suggestions that I think is crucial:

Save a non comprimated copy of the attached image in iPads internal storage, just like taking an ordinary picture with the mobile device.
Show the same file name as the internal version eg. IMG_NNNN.JPG.
In my case the filename was capture_20260827_091927_041_ea86081b-426e-41bb-b6bf-d1be4a0d073a_0.jpg

Looking forward for continuous improvement of the mobile app!

Great suggestions! I can definitely see the value in having the captured markup image saved locally on the iPad as a full resolution, non compressed copy, just like a normal camera photo.

Using a consistent filename such as IMG_NNNN.JPG would also make the images much easier to identify, access, and manage outside of Revu.

Hopefully, Bluebeam considers this for a future mobile update. Thanks for sharing such a detailed and practical use case! 👍,

Thanks for the feedback. Both of these requests are reasonable, and this is very helpful as we continue improving Image Capture.

We’ve heard similar feedback from others about saving an uncompressed copy of the captured image to the device, and we’re looking into that along with the filename behavior you mentioned.

We have a lot of additional mobile updates planned for the rest of this year. I don’t have a timeline to share for these specific improvements yet, but we’ll continue shipping updates that help remove blockers from your workflows in the field.
