Hi everyone,
I’m the Product Manager for Studio and I’m looking for feedback on the 9‑digit ID that appears next to each Session (and Project) in the Sessions view in Revu. This is the ID you can share so others can join a Session or Project directly by entering the number. (Going forward I'll just say Session to spare you from having to read both every time!)
From the list view today, you can see the Session name on the left, and the 9‑digit ID on the right. I’m trying to better understand how valuable that ID is in this specific location versus other ways of accessing or sharing it (like within the Session itself, or by right clicking and selecting “Copy Session ID”).
I’d love your input on a few questions:
- In your current workflow, how often do you actually reference the 9‑digit ID from the Sessions list (as opposed to relying on the name, email invite, or link)?
- When you do need the ID, what are the typical scenarios (for example: quick verbal sharing during a call, documentation, external partner access, training, etc.)?
- If the 9‑digit ID were no longer always visible in the Sessions list but still available elsewhere as is today (for example, in Session details or via the “Copy ID” action), how would that affect you, if at all?
- Are there situations where having the ID always visible in the list has clearly saved you time or prevented confusion?
- If that space in the list weren’t used for the ID, is there anything else you’d find more helpful to see there (for example, status, last activity, your role, or something else)?
Your feedback will directly influence whether we keep the ID visible there, change how it’s displayed, or repurpose that space to better support your workflows.
Thanks in advance for your insights and for helping us shape how Studio evolves!
