I would like to submit a feature request for a markup consolidation workflow that does not appear to be supported currently in Bluebeam.
On large projects, we often develop multiple smaller drawing packages that contain markups for specific scopes of work, systems, test packages, work packages, or discipline reviews. These smaller packages may overlap, meaning the same drawing can appear in multiple packages, with each package containing different markups on that same drawing.
There is a need to create a larger master or composite drawing set that contains all markups from the individual smaller packages. Ideally, users would be able to start with a clean master drawing set and then import markups from each smaller package into the master set. The imported markups should automatically be placed onto the correct drawing in the master set based on a common identifier, such as the drawing number, page label, bookmark, or another user-defined matching field.
Currently, the standard markup import/export functionality appears to work best when the source and destination documents have the same pages, same order, and same alignment. This limits its usefulness when importing markups from smaller document packages into a larger master set. Similarly, Slip Sheet appears to be designed primarily for replacing or revising pages, rather than simply copying markups from one drawing package onto the matching sheets in a master document.
The requested feature is:
A Bluebeam function that allows users to import or merge markups from one or more smaller PDF drawing packages into a larger master PDF drawing set by matching drawing identifiers, without replacing the underlying master pages.
