Text Box Issues

I am having ongoing problems with my textbox tools. Typing is distorted, especially using the space key (which doesn't do anything) or any punctuation marks. After using punctuation marks, cursor position changes and/or text starts in putting back to front. Upon trying to re-edit a already used textbox, I am unable to select any text or edit these. I have tried resetting all settings and completely uninstalling and re-installing the program with no change. My keyboard works fine and all other programs are running normally. Occasionally images and imagery isn't visible in Bluebeam Revu when it is still present and visible in the same files on other pdf viewing programs. Please help.

Hi @Alexander McConnachie ,

I had a user with a similar issue (Spaces etc worked fine in caps lock 🤷‍♀️), the fix at the moment is to disable spellcheck:

Go to Revu > Preferences > Spell Check and uncheck "Check Spelling".

sounds like what you are asking revu to display is greater than the computer itself can handle? my guess would be that the issue lies in these settings somewhere. problem either the rendering options, anti-aliasing, or resolution.

Thanks Brandon. I've tried further resets and adjustments of setting to no avail. My computers operating system, processors, etc. are all fairly advanced. Does anyone have any further specifics that could fix the issue?

Can you share an example file so we can see if the issue carries over to others? My first suspicion is a font issue, but it's hard to say without seeing.

I’m experiencing the same issue. Not only the Text Box, but the Typewriter tool is also not working. What I can clearly identify is that the problem started after I changed the font and set it as the default.

The above screenshot shows an excerpt of a standard sentence (using the typewriter tool - it's also the same with the text box tool). No matter which font I select, the same formatting occurs. The sentence above should show as, "The typewriter tool does not work! I cannot add spaces, nor can I add punctuation marks"
