I'm looking for a way (or to suggest the idea) to use a polylength in the tool chest but also have it count sequentially every time it is used. for example, I'm making home run measurements for some conduits, and have to count over 100 of them. i would like to automate it so i can make one measurement then start the next and its labelled "2" and again labelled "3". this would make exporting much easier because now i have a reference to which length is which without having to manually input the text each time. the lengths remain untouched and with their associated polylength. im acutally home running some heat pumps "HP-1, HP-2" but just the numbers would be good enough.
