Resizeable Void Rectangle

Hopefully this should be fairly easy - Would love to see the ability to draw a rectangle that already comes with an internal cross between the corners, and when you resize it it automatically updates. I imagine for SMEP engineers this would be super useful for penetration mark ups. The ability to change the line weight of the internal cross and the rectangle separately would also be super handy.

Probably not what you were really thinking of but a workaround to this is to create a rectangle then add the cross lines. Group these together then add to a Tool Chest.

If you then place this on a drawing, you can adjust the size by dragging the selection frame corners in & out. However, this just changes the scale i.e. the width and height proportions are maintained.

However, if you go to the properties tab when you have the grouping selected, you can change the Document Width and Document Height properties to make the shape that you want.

One issue with both methods is that the line thickness will change as you enlarge or make smaller. So you may have to go in a change the line weight properties after adjustments are made.

If you don't mind the lines all being the same weight and colour, then you can use the perimeter tool to create the shape. Add this to a toolchest then after you place it on a drawings use the properties panel as above. This time the line weights shouldn't change.
