I would appreciate having a "change case" command for text markups. It's frustrating when markups have a mix of upper-case and lower-case notes. Consistency would be really helpful when sending mark-up documents to contractors and owners.
Yes!. For me, it's usually because I left caps lock on and typed in sentence or title case so all my words start in lower case and continue in upper case.
Totally I agree… I was searching if this was possible… we compile questions from lots of people and it's difficult to get them all to format the same. It would be nice if there was an easy way to "change case".
This would save copying text to MS Word, converting, and pasting back again. Please add the feature
This would also be super valuable when (if…) BB implements the oft-requested ability to grant Session permissions to allow editing of other users' markups. (E.g. when cleaning up for a consolidated set of review comments at the end of a session)
Hi all,
Thanks for posting this. We are in active development on a new method to QC markups. One of these QC actions we will support is the ability to update markups to/from lowercase, uppercase, and sentence case.
We'll be sharing more about this at Unbound in a few weeks.
This is awesome news!!!!!! Will this also include general word processing style capabilities for text boxes? Even is not, super excited for this update.
Awesome News and a big thank you and to Bluebeam!
I shouldn't give away too much…but this includes a number of ways of manually and programmatically modifying textbox and callout comments. Stay tuned for more information. Once available in beta, we'd love to get your feedback.
This is great. Can't wait!
hOW iS this cOMming aloNg? I could really use this command.
I HAVEN'T HEARD/SEEN ANYTHING @Ross Pewterbaugh.
i don't recall anything being mentioned at UNBOUND @Luke Prescott. mAYBE i WASN'T IN THE right session?
😎
Hi David,
The new integration with Claude is perfect for use case like this. I'll work on getting a video posted to this thread, but you can also sign up for beta, if you haven't already: https://bluebeam.centercode.com/key/MCP_BETA_UB
Good point @Luke Prescott. Claude will be handy to have around cleaning up these type things. 😎
Here's a quick example…
Thank you for the video @Luke Prescott. That's pretty slick!
Very Cool. Thanks for Posting.
Is there any update to this? Will this feature only be available in Bluebeam Max with Claude?
Hi Jane, yes, our current plan is to offer this functionality through our MCP integration in Bluebeam Max. Because the integration allows for updates to all markup properties - of which a text comment is just a small piece - there are a number of different workflows this supports… editing visual properties/colors; proofreading & standardizing text; text translations; subject editing; custom column creation and data editing editing, etc. If you want to give this a try in a trial of Max, we'd love to hear your feedback here.
Unfortunately, I don't think my company is going to make the move to Max quickly because of the added expense of requiring Claude licenses for each user. Is there potential for this to be incorporated into Revu?
Hi Jane,
Our current approach is to find ways to utilize AI to boost existing tools like bulk editing of text. We are also evaluating what it looks like to bring this directly within Max without using an outside AI service. There is still some considerations for overall cost as AI does require an amount of compute to perform various workflows.
If we were to offer this directly in the Max subscription and not require an additional outside AI subscription, would your organization be more inclined to upgrade to Max at $590/year? Thank you for your feedback!
