Mobile App - See Entire Contents of PDF File

I recently was viewing a PDF that had been marked up in a Session on my mobile device via the Bluebeam mobile app. Someone had made some markups on the PDF that weren't entirely within the page of the PDF, they were off to the side. I couldn't see those markups as I could only zoom out enough to the size of the page.

Need the ability on mobile to zoom out and actually see content that's not directly on the PDF page.

Hi @DwaneLindseyFGM,

Right now the mobile app only renders content within the PDF page boundary. Markups placed outside the page (in the gray or negative space) won’t be visible on mobile. Supporting that would require a different rendering model, so it’s not something we currently support. Can you share what those off-page markups are being used for and what you’re trying to accomplish?

The reasoning behind the markups outside of the page boundary are when the markups are placed off the page so that they don't cover up the content of the page. Here's an example where we had 3 people making comments about something on the page, but did the markups to the side.

I know you could create a markup on the page, then use the Markup Panel with comments, replies, etc. but users just don't like these options and feel much more comfortable using multiple markups to have a "conversation"

That makes sense, and it’s fair to ask since this is something Revu supports today. On mobile, we have to be deliberate about which behaviors we carry over, especially when there’s already a supported way to have these conversations using markup comments.

Focusing on one clear approach helps us avoid overlapping features and keeps us moving on field workflows that don’t have a workaround at all. Rather than treating off-page markups as a separate capability, it would be more useful to look at how you’re using them and see how we can make the collaboration tools we already offer work better for this scenario.
