Hi all,
I've recently been following the hype about working out of Bluebeam Sets as I'm looking for ways to streamline our workflow. I did have a question about viewing markups particularly when you are working with individual extracted drawing files as that seems like it gives you the best performance when working off of a server and with other coworkers. But I did notice that the markups only show the current files you have actually open within the set which makes sense. I was wondering if there was any way to change the markup settings to show wall markups in the set? My idea was to use Sets for the typical job and use Studio Sessions for bigger jobs needing more intense collaboration. But, will likely use Sessions as the standard then sets for just managing the revisions.
My second question has to do with file management and preserving server space. So, let's say I've got new drawings coming in, I make a set linking the original drawings. Then, I run a batch slip sheet and link new drawings in. From my understanding, the new drawings literally get inserted into the original files. Question being, are the files used from the revision link still important to maintain? When I add new markup to the new revisions for example it says under the original file. Let's say for example, I run the slip sheet then I want to upload to Studio and work from there. I'll probably combine latest revision and upload it that way since I've heard working with sets can be kind of messy. So, if I combine the latest revision that is another copy, then we add more markups under studio. Then, I'd imagine I can modify my set's drawings for the new revisions with the now marked up version of the revisions. Just sort of brainstorming when I can clear drawings to avoid many copies. Could be worth a call or something for me to help fully understand this second question.
