As I was preparing my response to @Troy DeGroot's post about custom line types I stumbled on to something that seemed odd. My original work with the custom line types was performed on my desktop at the office. When I opened the file from my laptop, I was surprised that the custom line styles that I had created weren't displayed in the properties of the line:
I had assumed that the custom line style would have tagged along with the PDF that had the line in it. Apparently not!
Another interesting limitation I found today was using the format painter. Thought was that I should be able to duplicate the line style with the format painter. It appears that the format painter only worked for the line style if the line style was saved to the local computer… I assumed that if the line style was already in the document you would be able to paint it onto other markups…
Still scratching my head over this one. Has anyone else come across this before?
